C Specification

// Provided by VK_VALVE_buffer_device_address_allocation_alignment
typedef struct VkBufferDeviceAddressAlignmentAllocateInfoVALVE {
    VkStructureType    sType;
    void*              pNext;
    uint32_t           alignment;
} VkBufferDeviceAddressAlignmentAllocateInfoVALVE;

Members

  • sType is a VkStructureType value identifying this structure.

  • pNext is NULL or a pointer to a structure extending this structure.

  • alignment is the minimum alignment that implementation must allocate for any buffer device addresses.

Description

If this struct is not present in a pNext chain, alignment is assumed to be 0. If alignment is 0, this alignment request is ignored.

Valid Usage
  • VUID-VkBufferDeviceAddressAlignmentAllocateInfoVALVE-alignment-12512
    If alignment is not 0, it must be power-of-two

  • VUID-VkBufferDeviceAddressAlignmentAllocateInfoVALVE-alignment-12513
    If alignment is not 0, bufferDeviceAddressAllocationAlignment must be enabled

  • VUID-VkBufferDeviceAddressAlignmentAllocateInfoVALVE-alignment-12514
    alignment must be less-than or equal-to maxBufferDeviceAddressAllocationAlignment

Valid Usage (Implicit)
